Free Foreign Language at Many Libraries

My kids and I have sampled every single Spanish  language lessons we could find.  Some we paid for dearly.  Some were free.  Hands down, we found that Mango Languages was a great program for my homeschoolers to learn foreign languages, and they have everything under the sun from Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin to Slovak, Urdu and Pirate.

*If you are wondering how to get this for free, I am glad to tell you that most public libraries offer Mango Language online through their websites.  All you need is a library card and pin number to sign in.

Learn Real Spanish, and other languages too

Some time back, I fell in love with a Learn Spanish Movie type curriculum, but my kids were like... KILL ME. They thought it was sooooo BORING. It was about a decade or so outdated... a tela novella of sorts, so we moved on.

I just came across a similar program that is alot more fresh and exciting and I can't wait to show it to them. It is Mi Vida Loca Spanish. Available through the BBC, Mi Vida Loca allows the user to learn by "living" the drama to learn Spanish in 22 interactive episodes. Very cool.

By the way, BBC Spanish has similar programs for other languages as well.
